]]>I have a question for US Ed. 6 A p. 58 Ex. 22 #1 & 2. The questions for both number 1 and 2 are "How many percent more boys than girls are there?"

The answer in the Home Instructor Guide pg. 128: percent more boys than girls= (difference/ #girls) x 100%.

Why is it not (difference/total # girls and boys) x 100%?

Please help me to understand the question/solution.
